The Skill That 10x'd My Claude Code Projects

If your Claude outputs feel generic — technically correct but missing your voice — the problem is not the model. Everyone using Claude Opus 4.8 starts from the same foundation. The difference between outputs that sound like you and ones that sound like everyone else is context.

The Grill Me skill fixes that. Instead of a five-minute brain dump before you start building, it interviews you until it actually understands how you think. It asks one question at a time, checkpoints your answers to a markdown file in your project, and keeps going until there are no gaps. By the end, you have reusable context your AI pulls from every time you touch that skill or project.

The mistake most people make: Starting with a brain dump and calling it good enough. Five minutes of info-dumping gets your output quality to about 70% on iteration one. The Grill Me approach gets you to 90% from the start — fewer revision cycles, faster time to a deliverable clients actually like.

How this helps you: When Claude knows your voice, your decisions, and your process, it stops generating generic output. Your projects feel like yours. Clients notice. You spend less time fixing what the AI got wrong.

Winning Is All We Do

Off the sidelines — Carson landed his first automation client

Carson Bates win

What happened: Carson built a lead automation for a local aesthetics clinic as a free pilot. The workflow routes contact data and handles follow-ups automatically. He's waiting on Facebook credentials to go live, but the clinic owner is already highly receptive. His plan: deliver the pilot, then position for a paid monthly retainer.

The opportunity for you: Local service businesses (clinics, salons, studios) are some of the easiest first clients to land. They have real lead problems, a low technology bar, and if you deliver, they talk to other business owners. A free pilot with a clear upsell path is one of the cleanest ways to get your first paying automation client.

Stories like this happen every week inside AIS+. AIS Live (July 11-12) is where you see exactly how: practitioners walking through real projects on stage, from first outreach to signed invoice. Early bird GA tickets are $97 through June 7. That price goes up after this weekend.

In the News

Anthropic filed for IPO at $965 billion

The news: On June 1, Anthropic — the company behind Claude — confidentially submitted an S-1 to the SEC for a proposed initial public offering. Valuation: $965 billion, putting it ahead of OpenAI ($852 billion after their last funding round). Anthropic joins SpaceX and OpenAI in what analysts are already calling a race to go public — all three expected to list this year.

How it affects automation: When your primary AI tool's parent company goes public, two things typically follow: more capital to build better models (good for you), and quarterly earnings pressure that tends to push enterprise-first roadmaps and price adjustments upward. This is not a reason to panic. It is a reason to build your skills and client base now, before the landscape shifts again. The practitioners who get in early always have the advantage.
